Please do not apply if you do not meet the following requirements
Requirements/conditions to qualify for a monitoring committee loan:
1. Available only for undergraduates, final-year students and/or student leaders.
2. The loan is for outstanding fees of the previous year only.
Requirements for final-year students:
1. Maximum of 156 credits outstanding to obtain the qualification, taking into account the number of years registered.
2. Loan debt not exceeding R120 000.00.
3. Financially needy.
4. Academically deserving (NSFAS requirements).
Requirements for student leaders (not necessarily final-year students):
1. Members of the Student Representative Council, residence committee members or sub-wardens.
2. Loan debt not exceeding R120 000.00.
3. Financially needy.
4. Academically deserving (NSFAS requirements).
Conditions
1. An Application Form for Financial Aid must be submitted.
2. Only one Monitoring Committee loan can be granted during an academic career.
Exceptions:
1. Final-year students and student leaders with exceptional merit who do not comply with the set requirements may complete an application form and submit it to the office of the Social Worker.
